Addressing Global Economic Crisis Through the Eyes of International Experts: Government Officials, Business Leaders and Academics.
Conference Aim
The main aim of this conference, WSCEC2009, is to provide an international platform for academics, business professionals and government officials from all over the world to come together to exchange ideas and come up with long term strategic approach to address the global economic crisis in today’s global market. WSCEC2009 will consist of workshops, tutorials, networking sessions, exhibitions, trade transactions, keynote speeches, paper presentations, panel discussions, and a tour of industries and places of tourist attraction in London. Submitted papers will be double blind peer reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in the CD conference proceedings. Best papers will be considered for publication in appropriate reputable journals.
The strategic approach for addressing the global economic crisis will be disseminated to interested governments, businesses and academics.
The International Experts will help implement the strategic approach.
Distinguished Keynote Speaker
Professor Matthew Kuofie will be presenting “A Strategic Model for Addressing the Global Economic Crises.” The components of the model include 1) knowledge management/IT, 2) government, 3) academia, 4) corporate, 5) marketing, 6) management/economics, and 7) finance/accounting. Prof Matthew Kuofie is a renowned global business management and information technology professor, a global business consultant, and a politician. Professor Kuofie ran for Beverly Hills, Michigan, City Council during the November 4, 2008 United States General Election. He intends to campaign for the United States Congress. Prof Kuofie will have a one-on-one meetings with government, corporate, and university executives. Meetings at golf outings possible and welcome!

 | Ex-Prime Minister Bernard Landry of Quebec, Canada. Ex-Prime Minister Bernard Landry is a politician, a lawyer and a professor. His rich political career of over 40 years includes serving as the Minister of State of Economic Development, Minister to Exterior Commerce, Minister of International Relations and Exterior Commerce, and Minister of Finance. He was the Deputy Premier of Quebec, Canada from1994 to 1998 and Premier of Quebec from 2001 to 2003. Bernard Landry received a degree in law from the Université de Montréal, Canada and a degree in economics and finance from Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, France. He is a practicing lawyer. He is also a professor at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada, in the Strategy & Social and Environmental Responsibility Department. On February 9, 2008, Bernard hosted the final round of the Finance Quiz at the 2008 Financial Open at the University.

| India government/business or academic expert's bio Dr K P Saraswathy Amma, Ph D, MBA, MPhil, MCom is a professor and head of the Banking and Finance & Economics Department under Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, European University of Lefke, TRNC, Cyprus. After June 30th 2009 she will be the Professor and Principal in Nair Service Society College, University of Calicut, India. She has 32 years of experience in academic research, teaching at graduate and post graduate level in different Universities. She was Professor and Dean of Management Studies, FISAT Business School, Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Kerala, India. She has delivered many expert lectures in relevant areas in India and abroad related to business, management and economics. She has served in different academic bodies of different Universities in India.

| Prof Chris Brady, Dean of BPP Business School, UK Professor Chris Brady has had a varied working life ranging from a line-worker at Chrysler in Detroit, USA, to managing a bookmaker's shop, from a land surveyor to a semi-professional footballer, from a naval officer to a navel gazer. Prior to his current position as the Dean of the Business School & Professor of Management Studies, BPP Business School, London, UK, he was Dean of the Business School at Bournemouth University and, prior to that, Head of External Relations and Business Development at the Cass Business School in the City. Professor Brady also served in the Royal Navy for 16 years including appointments in the joint HQ intelligence cells during the first Gulf War and the Balkans crises. He is the author of books and articles on subjects as varied as US foreign policy, British Cabinet government and, of course, business. Most recently he has produced books on management issues for the FT/Pearson imprint. These include Rules of the Game, End of the Road, and the best-selling The 90 Minute Manager. His two most recent books are The Extra Mile, which deals with employee engagement, and Intelligent M&A, an analysis of the intelligence function within the M&A process.
